If the start is good, the end should be great

Rotaract clubs are part of a global effort to bring peace and international understanding to the world.

Back in 2008 Dutch high school “Lek en Linge" travelled to Mongolia with 100 students and 5 teachers when Rotaract club of N.U.M members voluntarily helped on their stay and community work which was to renovate and support local school #88 in Bayanzurh district.

Since then we have kept in touch with our friends from Holland and talked about cooperating on new projects in the future.

As result of this friendship, today 160 children aged 4-18 from Bayanzurh district state orphanage can keep their clothes and bedding clean with a brand new full automatic mashing machine. Their old one, only semi-automatic needs repair quarterly which frustrated the orphan workers and obviously the children.

This was not possible without the "Len en Linge" high school students who wholeheartedly organized fund raising events back home with guidance from Wilde Goose NGO. On September 8th the German manufactured "Miele" brand washing machine was handed over to the orphan.

The talented youngsters from the orphan thanked everyone with their singing and dancing.

In the Mongolian way we say “If the start is good, the end should be great” the first fruitful cooperation between Rotaract Club of N.U.M and "Lek en Linge" high school of Holland has been a success.
